The East Side Lacrosse Club has been a lot of fun for parents and players and is a great way to elevate their game with additional practices and great competition. See below for some parent feedback and more details on our teams.
"My son got an offer to play D3 on scholarship based on a scout that saw him play on East Side's High School A team. I just wanted to thank you for the time you put in to help him over the years and I won't hesitate to tell people what you did for him" - East Side Dad (2012)
The High School Teams (U17/U16) compete against their peers which may be within the HS division designation or the U16-17 divisional brackets. Players with more experience will be given priority on the high school teams. HS team roster size will be targeted at 20-24 players depending on the tournament to maximize playing time for all players yet allow for rest.
“It was an honor and a pleasure to be part of the team. Both boys spoke very highly of every coach and their knowledge and skills of the game. My husband and I were extremely impressed with East Side's level of play. We hope to continue our relationship with the club.” – East Side Mom Sara
The U-15 team (players born between 9/1/1997 and 8/31/1999) is for those players who have not yet competed at the high school level but have 1 to 4 years of spring lacrosse team experience. Our goal with the U-15 team is to play high-level competition to prepare for the high school game. Roster size will be targeted at 20-24 players for the U-15 tournaments. Guest HS coaches will provide some great guidance for our rising freshmen team.
"1st timers. LOVED it! Thanks for the team tent" - East Side Parent Tournament Survey
The U-13 team (players born between 9/1/1999 and 8/31/2001) is for our younger lacrosse players that aspire to play more competitive lacrosse. Understanding that players in this division are learning about the fundamentals of the game as much as they are about game time strategies, all players will have an opportunity to play in each game. One year or more of competitive lacrosse experience is recommended for participation on a U-13 travel team.
“I personally think he gained a tremendous amount of confidence in his game by playing against some of the best teams in the state...he also now knows what he needs to work on to improve his game and take it to the next level.” – East Side Dad Bill
The U-11 Team (players born between 9/1/2001 and 8/31/2003) is for players who want to start building their game experience while at this fundamental level. All players will play in each game and will be introduced to the offensive and defensive strategies involved in playing as a team.
"Great job recruiting coaches. They are great with the kids." - East Side Parent Tournament Survey
